Welcome to the website of the Society for Oncology Massage, Inc.  The Society was conceived in 2007 at the first national meeting of oncology massage therapists in Toledo.  About 200 therapists attended the second meeting in 2010 in Minneapolis.  We and are looking forward to our third meeting in 2013, also in Minneapolis. These pages explain the steadily advancing body of knowledge that underlies oncology massage, the remarkable benefits of massage for cancer patients and its rapid acceptance by patients, caregivers and physicians.
