and peace into lives filled with pain and worry.Welcome to the website of the Society for Oncology Massage, Inc. The Society was conceived in May, 2007 at the first national meeting of oncology massage therapists, almost 180 strong. After a busy year of organization we are pleased to be open for business.
These pages explain the steadily advancing body of knowledge that underlies oncology massage, the remarkable benefits of massage for cancer patients and its rapid acceptance by patients, caregivers and physicians.
