Xerlan Deery, LMT, BCTMB is on staff at Paoli Hospital Cancer Center. She created and worked in her first hospital based massage program at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1990. She has worked with 11 hospitals in seven states, consulting, assisting in the creation and implementation of Hospital Based Massage Programs including Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Xerlan owned Massage Therapy Institute of Oklahoma for 12 years and has taught massage therapy education programmatically for 16 years. Xerlan has developed curriculum, created classes and taught continuing education as an approved provider through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork since 1994.
She has a home practice that has a separate entrance. She provides advanced massage techniques such as Oncology Massage, Lymphatic and Fascial Techniques, Subtle Bodywork and Pain Management. Her approach is client centered, evidence informed and outcome based for people with pathological and health challenges.
She is an active member of the Society for Oncology Massage, The American Massage Therapy Association and also volunteers with Unite for Her and Young Survivors Coalition.
