Thank you for your interest in seeking to learn more about me as a massage therapist. I graduated in 2011, at the top of my class from ECPI, Medical Careers Institute in Raleigh, NC. I performed my externship at Duke Integrated Medicine in Durham, NC. While in school for massage therapy I worked with area cancer support networks to provide chair massage to cancer patients. I continue to promote massage to all cancer patients in both the clinical setting and the home.
In 2011 I started Kneading Zen, and today has it has grown to include Marlana Donald LMBT 15613. Together Marlana "Marney" and I work with clients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics and when called upon hospice clients.
Considering myself a life time learner, and going beyond the basics in the industry, I have expanded my skills to include the following modalities: Swedish, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Hot Stone, Sports, Reiki, Oncology, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy.
It is my belief that it is possible to have a therapeutic deep tissue massage also be relaxing. I believe that muscles can be beat into submission, but I believe that they respond better when the client is able to relax into the pressure allowing the muscles to relax and in turn release. Every session is unique based on the consultation that day.
Whether you like Swedish, Deep Tissue or you are going through cancer you can enjoy massage. I invite you to book a session today http://kneadingzen.massagetherapy.com/
