The Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) respects your privacy. This notice outlines our online information practices.

Therapist Locator Service
We maintain the Therapist Locator Service as a convenience to our professional members.  Information appears as  it has been posted and maintained by the individual member.  Locator information is completely  available for public access.

Material Submitted for Publication
Material submitted to S4OM for publication (Our Stories, Hints and Helps, What Clients Say, etc.) may be posted for public access. We may attribute such submissions by name or initials, unless otherwise instructed.

Use of Email Addresses
We require that every member maintain a working email address and keep S4OM informed accordingly.  We may use this address to correspond directly with the member or to send updates, notifications, membership renewals or other material of general interest.  Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties unless authorized by the member.

We use email return addresses to answer email we receive. We may also use these addresses to send out updates, notifications or other material of interest to our correspondents. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties unless authorized by the correspondent.

Membership Applications
Personal information submitted with membership applications may be shared with outside parties to the extent necessary for verification and will not be shared with other outside parties unless authorized by the submitter.

Other Personal Information
All other personal information which you may send us may be used internally but will not be shared with outside parties, unless authorized by you.

Server Generated Information
Our server does not track, collect or distribute personal information. (If you see pop-ups when viewing our site, your system may be infected with spyware or adware.)  Our server logs do generate non-identifying usage data, such as visits to our website or what pages were viewed. These statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.  They may be used to provide better service to our users and may be shared with others for that reason. 

Cookies
The S4OM website does not use cookies. (Cookies are small quantities of identifying data which are sent from web servers and stored on users' hard drives.)

Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have taken reasonable steps to secure the information our correspondents and members provide to S4OM about themselves.

Children’s Privacy
No part of our website is intended to be of interest to anyone under 18 years of age.
