Susan Balamaci is a Board-Certified Holistic Nurse Specialist (RN-BC, HNB-BC) and Licensed Massage Therapist (BCTMB ) working at Northern Westchester Hospital, Northwell Health in Mount Kisco, NY since 2009. Susan initiated outpatient Oncology Massage Therapy services at Northwell's Cancer Institute in 2016 as part of its Yablon Cancer Health & Wellness Program available at no cost to patients with a cancer diagnosis, in treatment, survivorship, living with cancer or in palliative care. Susan established the OMT program according to the standards of the S4OM and has been a Preferred Provider since 2016. Susan currently serves as NWH's Holistic Nurse Educator and Researcher where she is working on measuring patient comfort to show the efficacy of providing complementary modalities in the acute care setting.
