Palliative Care Massage Training: 3 Day Oncology Massage Course; (24 hrs) – In person – Victoria, Australia

 

Qualifications: 

1. This course is offered to qualified massage therapists, myotherapists, bodywork therapists and massage students who are currently undertaking the HLT42015 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy who have commenced student clinics.
2. A current First Aid certificate
3. Membership with a professional association/body
4. Professional Indemnity Insurance including Public Liability Insurance
5. Prerequisite (see below) must be complete prior to start of Live; In person Course.

 

Format:

* Please note, this foundational training is made up of two components. It has a prerequisite pre-reading & pre-course material review component followed by an In person component

3-Day Oncology Massage Course (24 hrs.)

1. 1. 1. Pre-assigned reading & pre-course material assignment component:  4 hours, to be completed in the two weeks leading up to the commencement date.
      2. In-person component: 24-CE hrs. – Tuesday, October 21, Thursday, October 24th and Tuesday, October 27, 2025 | 9.00 am – 5.30 pm

The intention of the Education Standards for S4OM Foundational Courses is to provide an outline of the required elements of a S4OM recognized Foundational Course. A Foundational Course is meant to teach massage therapists the basics of providing massage therapy in a safe, ethical, and appropriate manner for those diagnosed with cancer.
