Individuals diagnosed with cancer face a multitude of challenges. These challenges, which may last a lifetime, often begin at diagnosis and continue through treatment, recovery, and survivorship.

To ensure consistent safety and efficacy for all therapists working with this population we have developed Education Standards for Oncology Massage and the Education Standards for Oncology Esthetics. Foundational Courses provided by Recognized Education Provider Organizations (REP Orgs) adhere to these education standards. Standards are based on clinical knowledge, practical experience, and evidence-based research. With this foundational education in techniques and considerations, therapists learn to adapt standard massage therapy and esthetic care techniques to work safely and effectively with people whose health history includes cancer.
