Karen is an Australian trained RN, board certified in oncology and pain management, specializing in integrative side effect and symptom management. She has over 25 years' experience ambulatory oncology care, in private practice and hospital-based infusion centers. A Swedish Massage technician for many years, oncology massage is now an integral part of her clinical practice. She has found that oncology massage is therapeutic for non-cancer patients experiencing pain. Relocated from LA County to the Palm Springs area, Karen now serves the Coachella Valley. Her nursing background has equipped her with understanding the power of presence and benefits of touch on the body, mind and spirit, its importance in maintaining or improving the quality of life and outcomes of those in her care. Karen served as a resource for the 2020-2021 S4OM Education Committee Think Tank on Virtual Hands-on Learning and has presented e-Posters on oncology massage at the 2021 ONS Congress and ASPMN National Conference.
