Karen is an Australian-trained RN, board-certified in oncology and pain management, specializing in integrative side effect and symptom management. She has over 25 years of experience in ambulatory oncology care, in private practice and hospital-based infusion centers.

A Swedish Massage technician for many years, oncology massage is now an integral part of her clinical practice. She has found that oncology massage is therapeutic for non-cancer patients experiencing pain.

Relocated from LA County to the Palm Springs area, Karen now serves the Coachella Valley. Her nursing background has equipped her with an understanding of the power of presence and the benefits of touch for the body, mind, and spirit, and of its importance in maintaining or improving the quality of life and outcomes for those in her care.

Karen served as a resource for the 2020-2021 S4OM Education Committee Think Tank on Virtual Hands-on Learning and has presented e-Posters on oncology massage at the 2021 ONS Congress and ASPMN National Conference.
