I’m Valentine Songeur, citizen of the Earth, and California certified massage therapist. Born and raised in France, I have always enjoyed traveling and discovering different cultures and philosophies. My mission is to support people by being present with them and teaching them about the mind body connection. I believe that in our society people are disconnected from their body, either because of their culture or because of trauma or injuries. This is why positive touch through massage therapy is so important and so powerful. I witnessed this disconnection while I was working in drug development and clinical research for oncology. During this time, I learned a lot about the diseases, the treatments, and the side effects. I also learned that patients needed more than just medical treatments and clinical touch to support them during this challenging time. I felt that a different and complementary approach -such as massage therapy- could help reduce symptoms of anxiety and relieve pain for the patients. This led me to my calling to provide a holistic and compassionate approach to cancer treatments and the relief of chronic pain. I began studying massage therapy in France in 2012, then in Thailand in 2014, and finally in the US at IPSB college in San Diego in 2016. To fulfill my calling, I also got certified in Massage for People Living with Cancer. All of this combined experience has led me to develop my own unique style of treatment to help release tension and stress, improve relaxation, and reconnect your body and mind while living with cancer.
