MK Brennan brings over 45 years of experience in healthcare, including nursing, massage therapy, health promotion, and research methodology. She is a Past President of the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM), was a member of the Hospital Based Massage Therapy task force through the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health) ACIH), and Chair of the Massage Therapy Foundation Writing Committee. She previously worked as the Executive Director of the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA) and has held various Chapter and National volunteer positions with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) most notably as National President 2008-2009. Most recently, she has served on the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education (AFMTE) Board of Directors and continues as that organization’s Finance Committee chair and Governance Committee chair. For over 20 years, she has been affiliated with the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) as a volunteer site reviewer.
