Aurie M. Williams received her license for Professional Clinical Massage Therapy in 2017 from Southeastern College in North Charleston, SC. She serviced those in the Geechee Corridor of South Carolina before relocating to Houston, Texas in 2020. She began schooling as a massage therapist in hopes of promoting accessible healing through touch that centers womxn, BBIMP [Black Brown Indigenous Melanated People], LGBTQ+, and the disabled. Because the current US healthcare system fails to acknowledge the importance of Professional Clinical Massage Therapy, her long-term goal is to utilize her experience to advocate for the essential role of massage therapy in healthcare networks as preventative/restorative/complementary care while continuing to encourage individuals to be active participants in their personal wellness journey.
